Biography of the Founder

“Un Soir à l'Opéra” is not simply another candle brand; it is the extension of a lifetime. Indeed, I had the privilege of being raised to the rhythm of lyric opera and the secrets of the wings, where art is not only performed, but experienced daily through a tapestry of the theatre's wonderful professions.

I owe my heritage to my mother, a Chorus Artist at the Opéra national de Paris. The dressing rooms, the fly systems (cintres), and the old, worn parquet floors of the corridors became my secret world. As a little girl, I was often hidden in a discreet corner, out of sight, so I could absorb that unique atmosphere.

I remember everything: the powdery scent of the wigs, my mother's dressing room filled with makeup and extravagant jewels, the burnished leather of the props, the velvet of the curtains that absorbed the powerful notes, and that inimitable, intoxicating mix of the stage just before the lights dimmed. These moments, where time seemed suspended between the effervescence of anticipation and the magic about to erupt, forged my most precious olfactory memory.

It is from this immersion, this sensory alchemy between art and the intimate, that “Un Soir à l'Opéra” was born. My ambition is simple: to capture the intensity of a Mozart aria, the lightness of a ballet tutu, or the dramatic tension of a final curtain, and transform them into a lasting and refined fragrance.
