Mickaël Jourdan was born in 1987 in the Auvergne region of France and worksas an author and illustrator in Rennes. After studying at the Angoulême School of Visual Arts, he divides his time between illustration, leading creative workshops, and writing new children's picture book projects.
In his illustrations, he likes to combine graphic and minimalist forms which, softened by the gentleness of the brushstrokes, depict spaces conducive to contemplation.
By giving significant importance to biodiversity and living things, Mickaël Jourdan seeks visual and narrative constructions that get to the heart of the matter with minimal means.
